@0Ojoost14O0 no, navigon will use the in built gps to traingluate your position using satellites. navigon maps are all installed in your phone and you dont need edge or 3g.

iphone gps is horrible i lost singal and got lost a couple of times...I use the galaxy s2 now

i've tested both the sirfstar 3 gps chipset and the qualcom and the sirfstar 3 is slightly more accurate. I have found the qualcom is maybe 10 metres or so less accurate. Unfortunately most mobile devices are using the qualcom chipset now. Its pretty good but sirfstar 3 is more precise by 10 or 20 metres. you might find when driving qualcom chip takes longer to detect a new road turn than sirfstar 3. im not to sure but i think only sirfstar 3 supports WAS in north america which is very acrt

@HeavyDuty1134 No, You don't need wifi or a data plan. It's great, just wish it had the voice activation like the droid does.
